Životopis:

Robert se narodil dne 4. září 1924 ve městě Seattle, stát Washington, USA. Jeho otcem byl John Richard Flahive a matkou Elcie C. Flahive. Robert zřejmě neměl žádné sourozence. Po absolvování výcviku byl Robert přidělen k 20. peruti 2. bombardovací skupiny 15. letecké armády Spojených států amerických kde zkompletoval jedenáct misí. Dvanáctá mise se mu stala osudnou. Jeho letoun byl dne 29.8.1944 zasažen palbou německého stíhače, zřítil se u malé moravské vesničky Šanov a Robert, společně s dalšími osmi kamarády z jeho posádky, při pádu zahynul… Rodina se zřejmě ze Seattlu přestěhovala do města San Bruno v Kalifornii, kde jsou dnes všichni pohřbeni na hřbitově Golden Gate National Cemetery. Rodiče jsou pohřbeni z jedné strany náhrobku a jejich syn Robert ze strany druhé. Podrobnější životopis bude doplněn, jakmile bude k dispozici.

Bio:

Robert was born on Sept. 4, 1924 in Seattle, Washington, USA. His father was John Richard Flahive and mother Elsie C. Flahive. Robert probably didn’t have any siblings. After the training Robert was assigned to 20th bomb squadron, 2nd bomb group of the 15th USAAF where he completed eleven missions. The twelfth mission was his ultimate one. His machine was hit by the fire of the German fighter, crashed at the small Moravian village of Sanov and Robert, together with eight other comrades from his crew, lost his life… The family probably moved from Seattle  to San Bruno, California, where they all are burried at the Golden Gate National Cemetery today. The parents are buried at the one side of the headstone while their son Robert rests on the other side. More detailed bio will be added once available.
